This interactive workshop attempts to address the absence of attention given to global dynamics and a lack of real comprehension of what “Global South” is in its complexity within the environmental and climate discourse and narratives. The aim is to help participants on their journey towards a more embodied understanding of Global South experiences and global dynamics. Thus contributing to the much-needed collective effort to prevent the perpetuation of colonial patterns.

This interactive workshop aims to bridge the gap between climate activists and the critical issue of sovereign debt, highlighting its colonial roots and its impact on the climate crisis. Participants will be introduced to the Debt for Climate (D4C) movement, its origins, and strategies.
